Chinese Connection Marcus White Lisdoonvarna

I’ve posted some details on my main blog Marcus White Lisdoonvarna about my recent trip to China to promote business for White.

I know there is a strong Chinese community in Donegal.  The latest figures I could find are from the 2006 census which showed that there was a Chinese population of over 11,000 in Ireland (nationality listed as Chinese) with the majority of those being in the 15-44 age group.  I’m not sure how many Irish citizens are from a Chinese background.

I really enjoyed my working trip to China, even if it was a bit short at a few days but I hope to forge long term relationships with the Chinese tour operators which will benefit our country in the long run.  Our hotel group the White Hotel Group, owns hotels in Donegal and any boost to tourism would be great for employment in our area.
